Just released 3.0b5.
Main changes are bugfix of user cookie error when public access was disabled and removal of Amazon ECS (amazonxml) engine. Amazon has discontinued this service. Potential replacement could be the new A2S- plugin is under development.

Works great as usual, but when borrowing the following error shows up:
Database Problem
Unknown column ‘root’ in ‘where clause’
SELECT name FROM users WHERE id=root
URL was http://192.168.0.2/videodb/borrow.php
last version used before upgraded was 3.0.0b3
Already fixed in CVS.
Committed another set of fixes to the multiuser code. Slowly but constantly getting there- this time search page exports showed more data than it should and threw errors in certain constellations.
Could someone check the RSS output? In particular the rss_timestamp output that is supposed to go in pubDate.
Most people might not care that this is iffy, but it is a big deal if you want to use the feed for a lifestream-like aggregations application. In effect, it ruins the entire script and makes Simplepie (in my case) revert to merging items by feed instead of by date.
It’s the same result when I look at the feed from your demo as on my site.

Hi, I have a problem with a PDF export If I have Czech language (úůěščřžýáíé’ťň etc) in plot. If I open pdf I have any text in the PDF file. What I have to do?
Sorry for my bad English.
Please ask on the the developers mailing list. Unfortunately the php pdf library does not support Unicode…
Björn,
your issue should be fixed with the current 3.0 release.
Cheers,
Andi
I still get an empty pubDate with 3.0. Also, I dont see any recent xml changes in the CVS dir. Perhaps I am looking at the wrong files?
Working just fine: http://videodb.net/demo/edit.php
For bugs please contact the developers mailing list.
Björn, fixed in CVS.
Hi there,
is there a wishlist for further releases anywhere? i’d like to select more than only one language for a movie. e.g. german, english and spanish. like on the disk, and not only the prefered language.
Thanks, Dennis
You can already do that- just input multiple languages as text, separated by space. The same happens when importing moviews e.g. from imdb automatically.
Hi
DvDB.de import is not longer running because of an update of the DvDB page to “Web 2.0″.
Will you check and fix this for one of the next releases?
Regards
Pumukerle
Please contact the developers mailing list. This is not the place to ask for bug fixes.
Best regards,
Andreas
HI, Congratulations for this fantastic software.
Anyway I have a different view.
I think you can have here a fantastic software for commerces renting like video-clubs or dvd-clubs.
For this cases you only need to add the chance to set a list of clients and select the clients when you borrow a movie.
It will be fantastic if you can save a history of borrows for each client, to know if the client already saw a movie.
Another cool change would be if you can set the number of copies of a movie you have, and how many of them were borrowed and hoy many are available.
There area a lot of other great ideas related, but I think it would be a great improvement if you can do that.
I would help you, if you need it.
Thank You
Great software but can you tell me why I cannot get any cast images?
